O Scale On30 On3 - Elk Canyon Stone Freight Depot
Now relegated to railroad legend, irregular cut stone MOW structures like this sat alongside every railway mainline at one point in history. Scratch built from custom cast RESIN PLASTIC this fully built mostly plastic model will outlive us all. With a fully open base (no base), and a painted interior, this model is move in ready. Just drop it in place and add your own interior furniture and/or lights.
Several washes of ink and acrylic based stains were applied to create the look of naturally aged irregular cut stone. There's a large front stoop and a loading dock with tons of details including old oil cans, wood barrels, old parts boxes, wood crate boards, trash can full of trash with an old rag hanging out and old rags scattered about. Window pull shades are in all windows and there's a rusty crusty bent smokestack.
The simulated multilayered tarpaper roof with visible lap lines, nail heads and repair patches was built up from several wrinkled layers of acrylic dust. It took several hours and many separate applications to create the 3D effect of multiple layers of worn, tarpaper roofing. Windows have clear dusty window glass plastic installed with no mullions hovering. This is a well built, mostly plastic structure model with a fully open bottom (no base).
Approximate size is a little over 6 inches long including the front stoop, by about 5 inches wide including the dock, by 4 1/4 inches tall to the top of the roof peak (not including the smokestack). You will receive the actual model shown in the photos. Items combined if possible and include professional packing and insurance. Background scenery shown is NOT included.
